Windows 11 version 24H2 has been published only for Copilot+ device users and Insider Release Preview users. And, to make this version speedier, Diabell News has documented the stages and methods on the following page.
Well, Windows 11 24H2 is scheduled to be officially released between September and November of this year, which is still a long time given that Microsoft still has a lot of improvements to make, particularly on the Recall feature, which was removed from its official launch date of June 18, 2024 yesterday.
What precisely are the benefits of Windows 11 24H2? Is there much? Let’s expose everything, gentlemen. Here are the New Features of Windows 11 24H2:
AI Features – Exclusive for Copilot+
Now, if you want to fully experience Windows 11 24H2, you must use a Copilot + certified device, as several additional features are created only for these devices.
New AI features include Windows Recall and Windows Studio Effects, Live Captions, Voice Clarity, and many others.
But remember that Windows Recall has been postponed indefinitely, so if this functionality isn’t great, it could not be present in Windows 11 24H2.
Sudo for Windows.
When we initially learned that Windows would have sudo access like Linux, many people were ecstatic and asked about concerns about the functionality.
In brief, using sudo for Windows, users may instantaneously switch to administrator access without having to quit the terminal.
As you can see, there are various combinations to pick from, including:
When you run a command with sudo, it will open in a different window.
preventing input: The purpose of this function is unknown, however, it may act as a security precaution by temporarily preventing keyboard or mouse input while sudo instructions are executed.
Inline Mode: This mode allows users to execute sudo commands within the current window or context without opening a new window. This option is very beneficial for fast jobs or when using an IDE (Integrated Development Environment).
Energy Saver
Energy Saver is a new power-saving mode that replaces the current Battery Saver option. Energy Saver not only extends the device’s battery life but also reduces energy consumption on battery-less computers.
In principle, the Energy Saver Mode is based on the Battery Saver Mode and Power Mode features, thus it operates in the same way: it extends battery life and reduces energy consumption at the price of system performance.
To enable Energy Saver, navigate to Settings > System > Power & Battery. Energy saving.
In Windows 11 24H2, the Advanced option has been deleted from the “Bluetooth devices discovery” settings page. With this, the system will always scan for devices but only display common device kinds.
So, if any devices were not detected, we may use the new “Show more devices” option to view them.
Bluetooth
In Windows 11 24H2, the Advanced option has been deleted from the “Bluetooth devices discovery” settings page. With this, the system will always scan for devices but only display common device kinds.
So, if any devices were not detected, we may use the new “Show more devices” option to view them.
In addition, we can now also add devices directly from the Quick Settings flyout page.
Taskbar
The taskbar in Windows 11 24H2 has certainly gotten a lot of improvements including a new Quick Settings Flyout that you can scroll through.
There is a new option to turn Live Captions on and off.
And finally, there is an updated progress bar when users are copying files and other common things.
File Explorer
In Windows 11 24H2, File Explorer has received several enhancements, including the ability to generate archive files such as.tar ,.7z, and.zip, as well as additional choices to pick formats such as. gzip and.bzip2 and even adjust the compression level of the archive to be produced.
Furthermore, the keyboard shortcut “Alt + Tab” and the “Snap Assist” function on the “Multitasking” settings page only enable us to see up to 20 recent tabs.
Furthermore, if you notice, now the cut, copy, paste, rename, share, and delete buttons in the context menu have been labeled.
Furthermore, if File Explorer has several tabs, the title in the thumbnail on the Taskbar will show the tab name and the number of tabs.
This change is so minor that it’s rarely even noticed, but it allows users to see how many tabs are open in a single Explorer window faster.
Barcode Support for Wi-Fi Sharing
If you want to share your Wi-Fi password, you can now share it via a barcode that will be generated as shown below.
Wi-Fi Improvements
In addition to barcode support, Windows 11 24H2 supports Wi-Fi 7, so if you already have one, you may benefit from even faster performance.
In addition, the Wi-Fi Flyout in Quick Settings now includes the refresh button, which many users have requested for a long time.
New OOBE or Setup Experience.
If you perform a clean installation of Windows 11 24H2, you will notice a new Setup Experience and OOBE, which may be even longer for some.
Windows Updates Without Reboot
Microsoft has begun deploying a new update technique known as “hot patching,” which allows updates to be installed without the need for a reboot.
According to reports, this hot patching procedure works by updating the code of processes operating in memory, eliminating the need to reboot processes and delivering improved availability and fewer interruptions.
Unfortunately, after attempting Windows 11 24H2, we haven’t received any fresh updates, so I haven’t had a chance to test this functionality.
Other Features and Improvements
Because there are so many, I’ll simply mention some of the additional changes in Windows 11 24H2, some of which were addressed in the post, so please check that out as well.
- Images in.jxr format can be used as desktop backgrounds.

Copilot
Almost forgotten, Copilot is no longer available as a sidebar, and the Copilot program now functions similarly to other general apps, with the ability to minimize, maximize, and swipe here and there.
To be honest, we liked the old Copilot over the new Copilot. What are your thoughts?
That’s some of the new features in Windows 11 24H2, although certain AI functions are only available on Copilot + devices, so they can’t be tested or obtained. Have you tested Windows 11 24H2? Comment here and tell us what you think about this latest version of Windows.
