For those of you who use Logitech devices, including mice, keyboards, and other peripherals, you should be aware that Logitech just issued an email to its customers announcing the end of Logitech Options support on Windows and Mac.
Logitech recommends that users who are still using Logitech Options switch to Option+, a newer and more current version with broader device support.
Logitech Options Retiring Soon
We are grateful to you for being a valuable user of Logitech Options so far. Options has been enhancing your Logitech mice, keyboards, and touchpads experience by allowing customization, making the device truly yours. However, Options will be retiring soon and we want to help you with this transition.
Logi Options+ is the next-gen of Logitech Options offering you everything that Options had. Options+ will be the application going forward for personal workspace devices and provide ongoing integrated device firmware updates for optimal security and performance.
Although the previous app’s support term has finished and customers are recommended to use the new app, Logitech has not said when it would deactivate the old Options app.
Furthermore, while the new app has many fascinating capabilities, such as interaction with AI services, it still lacks duolink functionality, which would be quite handy for duplicating mouse shortcuts by pressing the FN key on the Logitech keyboard.
Finally, if you buy a Logitech MX Master 3S Mouse or another newly released Logitech product, you will not be able to utilize the old Logitech Options app with it.
