Adobe Illustrator Since the introduction of the Copilot+ device, which is said to have improved performance and battery life, a large number of application developers have worked on building their programs to operate on Windows on ARM on Copilot+ devices.
One of them is Adobe, which has recently announced that Adobe Illustrator is now accessible as a native application on the iPad. With this, three Adobe programs have officially become native: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Photoshop Lightroom, and Adobe Illustrator.
Technically, having a native program improves performance since it runs directly without passing through an emulation layer like the others. The application’s performance and stability will undoubtedly outperform that of non-native apps.
What about Premiere Pro?
For those of you in the video editing industry, particularly those who have used the Copilot + device, the Adobe Premiere Pro program is one of the Adobe products that have been repeatedly asked to become native applications on Windows on ARM.
Initially, Adobe promised to transmit the Beta version of Adobe Premiere Pro in July 2024, but there has been no guarantee of this, therefore Windows on ARM customers must use the Premiere Pro application via emulation as before.
Alternatives include Davinci Resolve, which has now become a native program on Windows on ARM Copilot + devices with the release of Davinci Resolve 19 Beta 3.
